Personal DNS Zone Information - MyPGP© (Est. March, 15th 2004)

Sean Heeger's MyPGP.Com

When registering a hostname you have the option of setting up a DNS Zone on your end. This is something that I find totally cool as it relieves overhead on my systems and gives you a more trustworthy and personal/business PGP / GPG presence on the network. So here it is. The basics!

First you will need a host name registered with me. Let's say for illustrative purposes that you have the string "example" as example is the name of your organization. Your new DNS zone is example.mypgp.com in which I set up in the dns to point to your public IP equipped DNS server.

Please note that if you need DNS, e-mail server software and assistance in setting up services, I can be retained to help you every step of the way. You can get top of the line DNS server software by clicking this link. Also If you require mail server software, it can be found here and it is totally free.

What your host names and e-mail addresses will look like.

Since you registered example.mypgp.com, your users will be known by this convention as user @ example.mypgp.com and your host computers will look like hostname.example.mypgp.com.

There are many advantages of having a MyPGP.Com or a MyGPG.Com sub domain zone all to yourself. Some of the advantages include but are not limited to...
